You’ve either came to this site to find out how to go about Writing a Will or perhaps whether you should write a Will. That’s okay. I’m not a lawyer. So why did I set up this site, you ask? The reason is simple. I went through a lot of hassle because someone close to me died without leaving a Will. It took me a lot of time, money and hassle to go through the whole process. All in all, I’ve probably taken about a month in total up to meet with lawyers, banks, insurance companies, land office and countless other places. Living in a city, I’m sure you understand the traffic and parking I had to go through just to get to different places. I hope you don’t have to go through the same thing. At that time, I never knew the importance of writing a Will. Yeah, some friends did tell me about it and I read about it in the newspaper. But it never registered in my mind that it is something that is almost compulsory. Even my insurance guy mentioned the importance and advise my family especially my older folks to get a Will written but we procrastinated on it. Unless you’ve gone through it yourself, you’d think it is something to be taken of some day in the future. I’d say, if you like to procrastinate, procrastinate on something less important like mowing the lawn or cleaning your car. This is THE one thing you must not procrastinate on. Hope the information here help you and your loved ones. Enjoy the articles here at Writing A Will. P.S. If you are in the US or Canada, and lawyers are too expensive. There are cheaper alternatives. First, you can get some Will writing software to help you draft your Will. You’d probably need to do some reading since laws are different in different states. A second option is to go online.
